Create highlights, notes, and more

You can create highlights and notes, hear text read aloud, search Google, find definitions, and more.

To highlight a word(s) or phrase:

  1. Click and drag your mouse across the word(s) you want to highlight.

    Note: Use Display Options to increase the font size, or zoom in to make it easier to select a word or phrase.

  2. Release your mouse button. A toolbar appears.

  3. Click HIGHLIGHT, and select a highlight color. The text displays the desired color.

    Notes:

    • The highlight is automatically added to your saved notes/highlights.
    • To remove the highlight, click .
    • To return to your book, click anywhere on the page.

To create a note:

  1. Follow steps 1-2 in the "To highlight a word(s) or phrase" section.
  2. Click NOTE.
  3. Leave the default highlight color, or select a different one.
  4. Enter your note text in the field.
  5. Click SAVE. The note is added to your saved notes/highlights.

To hear text read aloud:

  1. Follow steps 1-2 in the "To highlight a word(s) or phrase" section.
  2. Click PLAY to hear the selected words.

To perform a Google search:

  1. Follow steps 1-2 in the "To highlight a word(s) or phrase" section.
  2. Click GOOGLE. A pop-up lists 10 Google results.
  3. Select a result to open the link in a new browser window.

    Note: To close the search results pop-up, in the top-right corner, click X.

To find a definition:

  1. Follow steps 1-2 in the "To highlight a word(s) or phrase" section.
  2. Click DEFINE. A pop-up lists up to 10 definitions for the word, along with the source for the definition. If there is no definition for the word, a message states that no results were found.

To search for a keyword(s):

  1. Follow steps 1-2 in the "To highlight a word(s) or phrase" section.
  2. Click SEARCH to find a specific word or phrase in the eBook.
